"I first went to see Emma many months ago as I was in a very dark place, struggling to cope with health anxiety and OCD. I had been for CBT therapy 2 years before and found that unfortunately it didn't help me.

At the time I was not coping with looking after my children, had left work and lost most of my friends through cutting myself off and I needed someone to help me desperately. Emma for me was this person! From the first time I met her I felt a certain type of calm and ease around her that I very rarely feel with people. I think this is very much down to her empathy and relatability.

The sessions can sometimes be difficult, but it can make you see life, your life, in a different way to the dark way you had before.
Emma has shown me the tools I need to lift my self-esteem, deal with my intrusive thoughts and to rationalise each difficulty I face. The difference this time around with therapy for me is that each session is completely tailored to my needs and Emma has a fantastic way of doing this.
I am now back at work, enjoying family and social life again and I feel I owe my life to this lady - so I can't recommend her highly enough! I don't think that therapy is a job for Emma, it is her vocation, and if she were to do anything other than this, it would be a crime".

"I started working with Emma in March 2022 and wanted to work on challenges around anxiety, overthinking and general unhealthy thought processes. From the very first session with Emma, it felt as though a personal plan was put together and what initially felt daunting, became anything but.

The sessions are relaxed, personable and dare I say enjoyable. Emma always follows up the session with literacy and reading that is reflective of the previous session. This for me was key, it really expands on the 1:1 work Emma does with you in the session. What has been mind blowing for me is that the work with Emma highlighted challenges that I never knew existed. Emma has helped me break patterns of behaviour that had become engrained from a young age into my mid 30s.

Emma was not only able to help unpick why I felt the way I felt, but also to get me aware of how I could/would behave due to this mindset. Emma really encourages you to work on yourself during this journey and will get you thinking about why/how you feel and offers some incredible techniques.

Working with Emma has genuinely allowed me the opportunity to improve relationships with friends, family and even myself, some of which I didn't even realise were impacted by my behaviours due to the unhealthy thought processes.

The journey with Emma for me has not been one big eureka moment but lots of little breakthroughs. This is down to the knowledge, expertise and professionalism that Emma brings to every session. I really cannot recommend Emma highly enough, the past five months have changed everything for me. I feel that the work Emma does with all her clients doesn't just help problems/past, it gives you the tools to recognise triggers and ways to break away from traditional behaviour/thought patterns. Therefore I feel confident enough to say that when life throws challenges, anybody who has worked with Emma will be equipped to handle them. Cannot recommend enough to anybody!".

"I have been seeing Emma for the last 6 months for CBT and latterly had EMDR. I have been suffering with health anxiety and depression for the last 12 months. The moment I met Emma I knew she would help me on my road to recovery. I can't thank her enough for the encouragement, understanding and thoughtfulness she has shown me over the last 6 months. Emma you have saved me from a dark place I never want to go back to and I'm sure with your help I never will. You are a very special person and have a gift, I'm so glad I found you".

"I would recommend Emma to anybody! She is incredibly welcoming and supportive at a time when you need it most. Having someone who genuinely listens and provides excellent insight through her in-depth knowledge and understanding is invaluable and has been fundamental to my personal development. Thank you for everything".

"Reflecting on the last 20 very difficult months of my life, I can say without doubt that without Emma, I wouldn't be in the good place that I am. I was referred to her by my employer after I had been off work sick for 10 months already, having suffered life changing illness, with little hope of returning to my role. I was actually faced with the fact that I wouldn't be returning to any kind of work for a long time, if at all, as well as still dealing with some personal issues from the recent past that I was nowhere near over & was struggling badly with.

I was nervous, anxious & not in a good place at all when I arrived for my first meeting with Emma, but I was immediately put at ease by her calm, friendly manner. By the time I left, I felt like I'd ben through a mangle. But, I also felt like I'd had some of my burden lifted, because I'd been free to talk about all my problems unchallenged & despite how hard I found it, I actually looked forward to our next meeting although I knew it would be just as emotionally tough.

Emma listens to understand, not to reply, but also knows where to say or ask something & offer support with solutions at the right point. This is a skill that few have & I knew immediately that I'd been referred to the right person. Emma managed to remember all of the things I'd told her, like the closest friend would, when I brought them up, sometimes weeks after I'd first mentioned them. No easy feat.

I felt at ease in every meeting we had. It was like two old friends talking, but it was only me getting my troubles out without realising. Emma never once told me what she thought, or what to do. But she subtly suggested areas for me to reflect on in my day to day living that ultimately would help me, to help me & they have massively. That was so important it's hard to explain unless you've been in a similar place.

Many months later, I'm in a much better place. My problems aren't over, but with the support I've had, I'm in a better frame of mind to deal with them. I feel like I've made a friend and not just used a service. I can't thank Emma or recommend her services strongly enough".

"As you know, I don't use social media and I feel it would be good for other men to see this. When I first went to see Emma I felt ashamed, I was in a dark place and I thought that men don't go and seek help, they get through it alone.

In the first 5 minutes of meeting Emma, she made me feel so comfortable and made me realise that we shouldn't wait to seek help, we should do it now. I put off seeking help for 4 months, in other cases this could be too late. Don't think I'll go next week or next month, seek help now! It's nothin to be ashamed of. Speaking up and admitting your problems makes you more of a man.

My problem was drink & drugs, they come hand in had, even though I wasn't a daily user, when I did use it went on for days. I would neglect my family and in some cases turn violent. It wasn't a nice environment for anyone. Emma gave me different coping mechanisms, some was visualising stuff that makes me happy like my family, avoiding pubs I drank in and socialising with people who didn't have my best interest at heart. She made me think of the bigger picture and to put my family first before drink and drugs.

I've been going to see Emma now for 7 months and clean for 5. After one slip up I turned up really down, Emma made me feel so good about myself again, she knew what to say and was telling me stuff I was thinking to myself. I walked out that session knowing I could do it and to this day I still haven't touched a drink or drug. I couldn't speak highly enough of Emma and would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Emma".

"Emma was such a kind, compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable and professional therapist. She made every session so comfortable and it was so easy to open up to her. Due to her skills the process of therapy for me, was a really pleasant experience.

Completing therapy with Emma has really changed my life, I'm so glad I did it and I can't imagine how different my life would be if I hadn't. I couldn't recommend her more. Thank you for everything."

"When I first came to see Emma I was having a really hard time managing anxiety and stress, mostly around work. I was mentally exhausted and felt unable to control my anxiety symptoms.

In six months she has helped me immensely and this went far beyond learning how to cope with stress in the workplace; for the first time in years I feel at ease and comfortable in my own skin.

Emma's approach to my sessions was the perfect blend of talk therapy and CBT. Sometimes I had specific goals/deadlines to meet and with her help I was able to manage what felt unmanageable in my lowest moments. Sometimes I just needed to cry and vent, and I always felt like she understood me.

If I needed advice or guidance I felt like she knew exactly what I needed to hear, or she always had these great excerpts or articles to read that made me feel affirmed and reassured in how or why I felt the way I did, which is something I always struggled with. I would highly recommend her to anyone."

"I came across Emma again as I was really struggling with anxiety, and bad depression. I used some of the techniques I learned in my previous sessions, but needed more help. She is a lovely young woman, very easy to talk to, that was a problem to me, I couldn't take to anyone as it was too painful, I was always breaking down. But Emma has been a tower of strength, she has shown me how to use the tools we have, how to turn the negatives into positives, she has been in touch all the way through the lockdown, without her I think I would still be struggling, but I am still learning to control my demons and thinking positive. I could not have got through without Emma, I can't thank you enough.

I would recommend Emma to anyone struggling with their problems. Thank you again Emma."

"Emma proves on a weekly basis just how good she is at her job when I see the difference in my wife's mental well-being. She has helped massively with my wife, providing her with skills and techniques to treat her anxiety and OCD. We cannot thank her enough."

- Review from Amy's husband (Review via email)

"I first heard of Emma last summer. My daughter was in such a dark place and was not coping with life and everything she had always loved. I felt helpless as her mother. I didn't know where to turn for help and advice and support.

I contacted Emma and from that day to this, she has changed my daughter's life. My daughter has learnt day by day to cope again with everything she loves.

Emma had given her hope and strength to find her way back to living her life, and to care for her beautiful children and family."

"I started having sessions with Emma at the lowest and scariest point in my life. I had severe anxiety (could barely leave the front door), I struggled with low self-esteem and low moods too.

Emma has such a calm, relaxing and welcoming energy. She makes you feel so comfortable and I felt from the start I could be completely open with her and tell her anything.

Emma has helped me discover where my thoughts and behaviours have come from and what triggers them. I have had so many major breakthroughs during our sessions! She has given me the techniques I need to overcome certain thought patterns, behaviours and physical symptoms that the anxiety causes.

Emma has helped me get my life back, I feel I am a completely different person now compared to when I first started my sessions and I have done and achieved things I never thought I would be able to.

Emma truly is an incredible person, I will be forever grateful for her and cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much again Emma".

"I started working with Emma six months after losing my mum. It was a year of enormous life changes for me, becoming a new parent, moving house and changing jobs whilst grieving and not feeling myself. Emma was a very calming influence in a chaotic period. Her sessions were brilliant in helping me process my feelings & understand where they were coming from. Emma's warm & supportive style is incredible - you feel like you are speaking with an old friend and come away from the sessions feeling instantly more positive. Emma shared personalised exercises & techniques to practice between sessions which have really helped my outlook in life.

I can't thank Emma enough for her support and would recommend Emma to anyone who is going through a tough period. You won't regret it. Thank you!"
